Evidence based, ethical naturopathic care in Ontario, Canada.

Hi, I’m Dr. Nicole.

My Approach & Philosophy

  1. Effective care happens when patients bring knowledge of their health and combine it with the clinical and evidence based knowledge of a good practitioner. Both parties play a very important role in achieving success.

  2. Good healthcare begins with a good intake and identifying what is happening for an individual patient. Good intakes lead to timely, and better, results.

  3. Removing barriers to better health is an important early step in care. If the foundation isn’t set, everything we stack on top is unsupported. I would prefer to do things well, and when possible, do them once, rather than see patients stuck in a cycle of treatment that doesn’t lead anywhere.

  4. I avoid the use of excessive supplementation that is so often recommended in the world of wellness. Supplements are tools and if used ineffectively, they are a drain on resources.

  5. I focus on providing evidence-informed naturopathic care. This involves staying current on research, but I do acknowledge that there are literature gaps that still need to be filled. Good treatment plans are safe, effective and may need to get creative to serve individual health needs. I like putting these puzzle pieces together for the patients I see.

  6. I enjoy patients bringing me questions or thoughts they have had so we can discuss them. There are no stupid questions and I don’t mind talking through what you might have heard about on tik tok. We all need safe places to explore our health related questions.

  7. Education and advocacy are very important in medical care, and thus a huge part of what I do. I want patients to leave appointments feeling informed, empowered and passionate about our next steps.

  8. In the overwhelming majority of circumstances, I don't believe "you just need to live with it".

Outside of the Clinic

I am a mom of 1. In the last 2 years I have fallen back in love with exercise and reading books from the library, both of which I do as much as I can in my free time. I love coffee and extra large cushy chairs. You’ll find me listening to a huge variety of podcasts on my drives to the office (if you have podcast recommendations, I am all ears!). I talk pretty fast and get very passionate in my patient care, especially when I get to talk about new research. Some people call me nerdy, and I wear that badge with pride!

I believe we deserve health care providers that we feel respected & supported by.
